Prof. Vivian Feig
Prof. Feig (pronounced "F-eye-g") has a multi-disciplinary background with academic and industrial training in chemical, materials, mechanical, and biomedical engineering. She obtained her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University in 2012 and then spent 3 years working in the petrochemicals industry in both scale-up and manufacturing. In 2020, she obtained her PhD. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University as a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) fellow under the guidance of Prof. Zhenan Bao. Subsequently, she received the Schmidt Science Fellows postdoctoral fellowship, which allowed her to pivot into translational medical research and mechanical engineering by joining the labs of Prof. Giovanni Traverso and Prof. Robert Langer at MIT and the Brigham and Women's Hospital.
